Come and learn what nectar, honey, and pollen are; where they come from; and how bees and flowers share a mutually beneficial relationship. Learn about honey bee society, and the role of the queen bee, the worker bee, and the drone, and about hive construction and how honey bees dance to communicate. What is colony collapse disorder, and what may be causing this rapid decline in honey bee numbers? Learn what you can do to help. You will leave with an understanding why honey bees are so important to our economy and the foods we can produce.
