Free Canning Workshops at the Franklin County Public Library’s Main & Westlake Branches:
By the end of the summer, are you tired of eating yet another cucumber or squash? If so, imagine winter when you’re without bursting-with-flavor vegetables to make your meals come alive. Learn how to preserve summer vegetables at free canning workshops held by the Library’s “Sow to Grow” gardening series & Franklin County Cooperative Extension. We’ll teach water bath canning techniques & explain how to compete in food exhibits at Franklin County’s Agricultural Fair (Sept. 12-15). All supplies & materials provided. Sign up by July 30.
