Name: Geocache Adventures
Date: July 11, 2018
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Do you like looking for hidden treasure? Then have some fun with us using a GPS system to find a geocache and see the interesting things that lay within. If you are new to geocaching, our interpreter will teach you the basics of using a GPS unit and will help you learn how to navigate to a cache. Please pre-register for this program at the Visitor Center. We supply GPS units for use during this program, but if you would like to continue looking for additional caches within the park after the program, you may stop by our Visitor Center and rent an unit. Also, be sure to pick up a "Geo-caching in Smith Mountain Lake State Park" brochure for a complete list of the caches in the park.
If you catch the Geocache "bug" after this introductory program and would like to try finding other caches, go to
