Westlake Towne Center’s free, family-oriented event will feature live music, light refreshments, tree lighting, photo opportunity with Santa, and the chance to win a $1,000 Shopping Spree. In addition, the Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Concert will also coincide with the annual toy drive to benefit WE CARE of Franklin County. The first 150 individuals who donate a new, unwrapped toy to WE CARE of Franklin County during the event will be given a complimentary ticket to a special showing of “Elf” at Westlake Cinema showing immediately after the tree lighting event at 8 p.m. Collection boxes for toy donations will be located inside the retail stores during the event and movie vouchers can be picked up after toy donation.
Activities taking place during the event include:
· Special arrival of Santa on a fire truck
· Free photos with Santa sponsored by Your School Photos
· Live concert by The Parrot Pan Steel Band
· Live concert by Marie Anderson
· Live concert by Lakeside Singers
· Live concert by Johnny and Luna Bender
· Live concert by EastLake Community Church members
· Live concert by Smith Mountain Lake Harmeneers
· Complimentary refreshments
· WE CARE of Franklin County Toy Drive
· Free holiday coloring books to children donated by Carilion Clinic
To be eligible for the $1,000 Shopping Spree Giveaway, attendees can register once at each of the following businesses during the event: Kroger, SweetFrog, Westlake Library, Lighthouse Gifts & Books, Westlake Salon & Spa, Just Made Scents, Teriyaki House, Benny Adelinas and Cottage Gate. One winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the event. Recipient must be present to win.
