Little Rangers - Ages 4 - 6 - Birds of a Feather

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to soar through the sky, or to glide from one tree branch to another? Explore with us as we learn about many of our local birds and the different types of nests each prefers. Then you can create your own nest for our feathery friends.

For ages 4-6. Little Rangers runs Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, and 7/12. A parent or adult guardian is required to attend with the child.

Little Rangers is a great way to entice your child to explore their big backyard and uncover the mysteries at the edges of the woods. Smith Mountain Lake State Park Little Rangers program is offered free to participants, ages 4-6 years, due to the generous support of the Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Space is limited to 12.

Registrations need to be returned prior to the date your child plans to attend. You will be notified when the registration is confirmed.
