Event Description:
We'll explore the life cycles of some cool things around us. Find out where butterflies come from. See what a butterfly baby looks like, and create your own to take home.

For ages 4-6. Little Rangers runs Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, and 7/12. A parent or adult guardian is required to attend with the child.

Little Rangers is a great way to entice your child to explore their big backyard and uncover the mysteries at the edges of the woods. Smith Mountain Lake State Park Little Rangers program is offered free to participants, ages 4-6 years, due to the generous support of the Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Space is limited to 12.

Pre-registration required. Registration opens June 1, 2018. Request a registration form by e-mailing to, or you may call 540-297-5998 for more information. Registrations need to be returned prior to the date your child plans to attend. You will be notified when the registration is confirmed.
