Bring the whole family to Smith Mountain Lake's Beach Pavilion for an evening of great music with the "Wildfire" band. After retiring from the road in the late 1980s, Steve Shively and his revised Wildfire band started performing in January, 2013. The original Wildfire band opened for many country music stars, like Ricky Skaggs, Vernon Gosdin, Pam Tillis, Steve Warner, "Box Car" Willie, and Billy "Crash" Craddock. During the summer of 2014, the current band opened for Ty Herndon at the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount, VA. The Old Dominion Cloggers from Martinsville, VA will also entertain. Hot dogs, sausages, ice cream, drinks, and other refreshments will be for sale. $5 per person, and kids under 12 get in for free. Don't forget lawn chairs. Parking fee is included.
