Ferrum College’s Lifelong Learning Institute will offer a three-week course on resume and cover letter building, with information on the use of networking platforms to canvass for employment, on April 1, 8, and 15 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at The Franklin Center (rooms 107/109), 50 Claiborne Avenue, Rocky Mount. This three-class course costs $15 and will be taught by Dr. Jason Matyus, assistant professor of business at Ferrum College. During the three workshops, participants will learn how to professionally set up a resume and cover letter; how having and using a resume on social media and LinkedIn can be beneficial; and interviewing techniques, such preparation to answer questions, questions to ask, and what to wear.
