SML Newcomers Meeting

SML Newcomers will hold their next meeting on Monday, July 8, at Trinity Ecumenical Parish. Doors open at 10:00 AM and the meeting starts at 10:30. We will have two speakers. We'll hear from Dianne Weiner who is President of the Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC). We're fortunate to have an organization like SMAC in our area. They provide a variety of entertainment for the community throughout the year. If you haven't attended one of their programs, please do so when you can. Secondly, we'll hear from Konrad Crist. He's researched and learned quite a bit about how to discern which news stories might actually be partly or entirely false. With news coming at us from so many agencies and in so many ways this sounds like information that we can all use. Everyone is invited to attend this completely free event. Complimentary refreshments are served from 10:00 – 10:30. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some new folks from all around the lake area. You do NOT need to be new to the lake to be part of this group. We are a purely social club. Come check us out. Bring a friend. Learn something new. Enjoy the snacks. What could be better?
