Sea Tow and Bridgewater Marina to sponsor "Wear Your Life Jacket to Work" day on Saturday, May 18, 2013, to promote life jacket awareness.
On-the-water businesses are asked to participate by wearing a life jacket at work on Saturday, May 18, between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm and/or by donating gift certificates or items for prizes. Volunteers are being sought to help patrol and "catch" participants wearing a life jacket at work that day. Employees/employers "caught" wearing a life jacket at work that day will have their name put in a drawing for prizes such as Obrien life jackets, gift certificates, T-shirts, sea tow memberships, etc.
Awards will be presented under the Sea Tow tent at Bridgewater Marina at 6 pm that evening. Participants do not have to be present to win but must be registered to participate. Names of participants will be drawn by the Tow Bee and by Bridgewater Marina's Kayla Karet. Children attending the awards event will also be given a prize if they attend wearing a life jacket.
Call Capt. Rick of Sea Tow at 540-719-5555 x 2 or Roy Enslow of Bridgewater Marina at 540-721-1639 to register or volunteer.
Help make this a spectacular community event and kick off boating safety week by promoting life jacket awareness. Get involved. Let's protect our most important cargo (our family & friends) while on our boats and docks this summer.
