Fawns, fledglings and many other species of wild animals are born this time of year. Do you know what to do if you find a young animal in the wild? Or an animal that appears sick or injured? Get answers on June 20, 6:30pm, when the Franklin County Public Library’s award-winning Myths & Facts Virginia Wildlife Series hosts experts from the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center of Roanoke. They’ll teach us about local wildlife and show us some of the animals in their care. (Even though the animals can’t be handled by the public, we bet you’ll fall in love with them.) Wildlife artist Carol Yopp will also join us with a display of her paintings. Carol is a member of Bald Knob Artists and owns a studio in Rocky Mount, Va.
