Admissions Counselor

Job description
The admissions counselor works under the general direction of the Director of Admissions and will manage a recruitment territory for Ferrum College. The admissions counselor will be responsible for the successful recruitment and enrollment of prospective students within their territory, including, but not limited to prospective student communication, attendance at college fairs, high school visits and on and off campus recruiting events. The admissions counselor will also be responsible for general office duties as assigned. Essential Functions: • Territory communication management including, but not limited to phone calls, texting, email communication, birthday cards, personal notes and general student communication • College fair attendance • High school visits • Preparation and attendance for both on-campus and off-campus recruiting events • Collect and review application materials • Collaborate with other offices on campus to ensure successful transition of enrolled students • Create and maintain relationships with parents, students, guidance counselors, coaches, and other campus constituents • Assist with the mentoring and training of new counselor hires • Other duties as assigned Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required • Weekend and evening hours will be required • Valid driver’s license • Travel is a part of this position • Must have Microsoft Office skills • CRM experience preferred Don’t meet every single requirement?
