Ferrum College is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical services for the campus community. This individual will assist with the oversight of the Ferrum College Help Desk and the student employees that work there to ensure professional collection, recording, and resolution where applicable of technology issues affecting students, faculty, and staff at Ferrum College. Essential Functions - Provides oversight of the Ferrum College Help Desk including but not limited to hiring, training, supervising, and Help Desk personnel. -Has an active role in student onboarding through the use of training material, educational sessions, and participation in student onboarding events (ex: PAWS, student move in days, etc.) -Analyzes performance metrics to provide constant improvement by using ticket data as well as Help Desk telephone statistics. -Coordinates and provides support for campus-provided peripherals and contracted services. -Assist with inventory management, annual department budgeting, and provides written/oral reports as requested. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in an area of Information Technology -A+ or other relevant certifications -2-5 years of experience with supporting computer hardware, software, and AV equipment -Prior experience -IT supervisory experience Don’t meet every single requirement?
