Join the Smith Mountain Lake community in the effort to eliminate poverty in the region on Saturday, September 14 at the Smith Mountain Lake State Park. The SML Walk to End Poverty, honoring Jim Cameron and Lake Christian Ministries Neighbors in Need, will assist Lake Christian Ministries in developing more programs and services to fight this growing crisis in our community. Walkers, runners, individuals and teams are welcome. We encourage teams from churches, neighborhoods and other groups. Both 5k and 10k walks start at 10 a.m., with registration starting at 9 a.m. You may also register online at runsignup.com/smlpovertywalk or follow the link from the LCM website at lakechristianministries.org. Stay after the Walk and enjoy food, live music and fun with your fellow team members and friends. The event will take place rain or shine.
This Member To Member e-blast is promoted by Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce.
