Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival
Discounted tickets are now on sale for the 31st Annual Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival, which will take place Sept. 28-29 at Crazy Horse Marina. Save $10 on each taster and non-taster ticket by logging on to visitsmithmountainlake.com or visiting the SML Visitor Center at Bridgewater Plaza or the Bedford Visitor Center. They’re also available at most area Kroger stores.
A limited number of “shade chalets” and VIP Lounge tickets also are available for purchase. In addition, sponsorship applications, as well as applications for wineries, food vendors and craft vendors, may be downloaded at visitsmithmountainlake.com/sml-wine-festival.
This year’s festival will feature 30 Virginia wineries, 50-plus quality artisans and a variety of food vendors. Both days will feature live music with plenty of room for dancing. Make your plans now to join us for SML’s most popular event!
We’re looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles at the Wine Festival on Sept. 28 and 29. All volunteers receive a complementary Taster Ticket and a commemorative t-shirt! Contact volunteer coordinator Ashley Hodges at HodgesAppraisal@gmail.com for details.
Volunteers are also needed at the SML Visitor Center at Bridgewater Plaza on Wednesdays and Fridays. Duties include fielding phone calls, greeting visitors and assisting with questions regarding lake-area businesses, events and activities. Find out more by contacting Laura Healey at 540-721-1203 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
