Ride with a park guide as we explore the shores of Smith Mountain Lake State Park on a beautiful summer evening. Experience an enjoyable ride on the lake while we watch the sun slip below the horizon, and later watch as the full moon rises and shimmers over the surface of the lake. Wildlife you might catch a glimpse of include deer, turtles, fish, osprey, ducks, great blue heron, or even a bald eagle. We will make stops to take in scenery and for photo opportunities.
PFDs (life vests) will be provided by the park and must be worn at all times. Water and sunscreen are recommended. After sunset, it can get chilly on the water, so you may want to bring a jacket. Unfortunately, we cannot take pets aboard the boat. You must be present 15 minutes before start time in order to board and for safety talk.
