Ever wonder what it's like living out of just a pack for any amount of time? Meet a ranger who has more than 1,000 miles of backpacking experience under her belt, including 700 miles solo on the Appalachian Trail and a thru-hike of South Carolina's Foothills Trail. Learn what you would need for an overnight trip versus a thru-hike. We'll go through the backpack together and learn about the gear, and then listen to tales of the backwoods. This event is free.
