It’s that time again! Holiday Craft Night with free crafts for adults and children will be held in an open house on Friday, December 8th, 2017 at the Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library. The fun begins at 6:30 PM when the doors open. Enter the door prize drawing for holiday decorations made and donated by Bedford Area Master Gardeners Association. Before the door prize drawing at 7:00 PM, Mr. Glenn Ayers will read the traditional poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Children’s reindeer crafts include ornaments, buttons, reindeer antler hats and bags of magic reindeer food! Say hello to our furry friends from NCATE. The NCATE dogs are trained to listen to your child read and they are always happy to see readers in the library. Adults may make and take home a holiday kissing ball decoration courtesy of the Bedford Area Master Gardeners Association. While you make crafts, listen to live music with Zachery Williams on guitar. Santa will be there! Greet Santa in the community room where the cider, milk, and holiday treats are served. Contact the library to join the Friends of the Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library who will provide free refreshments. The Friends group provides financial support and volunteers for Holiday Craft Night and other programs throughout the year. This community event will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 8th. Bring your camera for reindeer hat photo ops and festive family photos. The Moneta/ Smith Mountain Lake Library is located at 13641 Moneta RD, Moneta, VA. Call the library at 540-425-7004 to register.
