The Smith Mountain Lake Democrats welcomes Phyllis Turner, Ph.D., who is a Master Gardener at the Bedford County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension. She will discuss the interrelationships between native plants and pollinators and recommend plants that can attract pollinators in our home gardens. Dr. Turner is a lifelong gardener who has worked as a nurse educator for 35 years and now teaches in the Master Gardener training program. The meeting is free to attend and nonmembers are welcome. Light refreshments will be served at 12:30pm. A brief business meeting will be held prior to the presentation.
