We are growing and looking for a motivated Roofing Estimator to join our team.
Position Overview
As a Roofing Estimator at Melvin T. Morgan Roofing, you will be responsible for evaluating roofing projects, generating accurate cost estimates, and helping close new business. You will serve as a key point of contact for homeowners and commercial clients, guiding them through the estimating process with professionalism and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and measurements of residential and commercial roofing projects
- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates using industry-standard software and pricing tools
- Identify storm damage, wear, and structural issues and document findings for insurance claims
- Present proposals and estimates to homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients
- Work closely with the production team to ensure project scopes are clearly communicated
- Follow up with leads and prospective clients to convert estimates into signed contracts
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, signed contracts, and project documentation
- Stay current with material costs, industry trends, and local building codes
- Represent Melvin T. Morgan Roofing with professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- (estimating, sales,)Roofing / Construction)
- Strong working knowledge of roofing systems: asphalt shingles, metal, flat/low-slope, and more
- Experience with roofing estimating software
- Able to be proficient with computers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and measurements
- Familiarity with insurance claims and supplement processes is a strong plus
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Comfortable working at heights and conducting roof-top inspections
