The Smith Mountain Lake Sail & Power Squadron - United States Power Squadron is a non profit organization with a mission of boating safety on Smith Mountain Lake and surrounding lakes, rivers and streams. Our motto is Boating Safety Thru Education. SML & S&PS is an affiliate member of The United States Power Squadron, and international organization, within a Regional 6 state membership. There are 400 + squadrons Nationally with more than 35,000 members, 31 squadrons with 2600 members in the District. The local Squadron has 55-60 members.
