About Us

The Cottage Gate is a lifestyle store featuring a unique blend of clothing, shoes, jewelry, gifts, home decor, gourmet food items, toys, games, and so much more. You’ll find something for all ages: newborn to Great Grandparents and everyone in between. We offer two retail outlets for your shopping convenience. Our flagship store, The Cottage Gate, is located in the Westlake area of Smith Mountain Lake. Our second store, The Cottage Gate at the Lake, is located at the Bernard’s Landing Waterfront Resort Community and is accessible by land or boat (Marker R11). Come in and enjoy a fun, relaxing, retail experience. You never know what you’ll find as our merchandise changes frequently and varies between the two store locations. We are proud to have served the Smith Mountain Lake community for 20 years!
