Smith Mountain Lake Songwriters Festival Celebrates 3 Years with Exciting Spring Kick Off Concert
Moneta, VA — The Smith Mountain Lake Songwriters Festival is proud to announce the beginning of its 3rd year of celebrating the art of songwriting, live performances, and the spirit of community. Originally founded as Lyrics on the Lake, the festival has evolved under its new name and is now part of the local non-profit organization Hook, Lines and Singers.

The 2025 season officially kicks off with the SML Songwriters Festival Spring Kick Off Concert on Sunday, April 27th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mango’s Bar & Grill at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, VA. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of live music, featuring Glen Shelton, National Recording Artist, as he takes the stage to launch a season filled with incredible performances and community spirit.

Founded in 2022, Hook, Lines and Singers is dedicated to supporting music, arts, and philanthropy at Smith Mountain Lake and beyond. Through hosting live music events like the Songwriters Festival, the organization raises funds to give back to a variety of local causes, donating to multiple philanthropic organizations that serve the community. Their mission is to foster a love of music while making a positive impact on the region through charitable giving and community support.
